Biography

Aseem Kapoor, Corporate Director of Human Resources, is one of the original members of the team that was present in the infancy stage of Emaar Hospitality Group and brings with him over 18 years’ experience of managing HR function. With immense knowledge and hands on experience in the hospitality industry, Aseem has had a major influence on structuring the Human Resource function for Emaar Hospitality Group.

In his role, Aseem is responsible for strategic talent & culture direction of Emaar Hospitality Group within Dubai and overseas locations and leads the HR functions with a keen focus on talent sourcing, engagement and leadership development which enable the operations and build pipeline of talent for the local and overseas expansion within the Group. Driving a strong shared services approach within HR, employee experience, automation and digital transformation of the HR function are at the forefront of deliverables to the organisation.

Over a span of 20 years, Aseem has worked for companies such as the Oberoi Hotels, Taj Hotels, as well as Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. Prior to joining Emaar Hospitality Group, Aseem held the position of Director of Human Resources at Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. In this role, he overlooked projects in destinations such as the Maldives, Seychelles, Oman and India.

For Emaar Hospitality Group, Aseem’s scope of responsibility includes Address Hotels & Resorts, Armani Hotels & Resorts, Vida Hotels & Resorts, Rove Hotels and Emaar Leisure Group. He reports directly to Emaar Hospitality Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Olivier Harnisch.

Boasting an immaculate academic and professional record, Aseem’s list of qualifications and certifications includes a Bachelors of Arts in English from Delhi University, graduate and post graduate diplomas in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management - Bangalore, as well as the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development. These achievements are just to name a few in an enviable list. His level of expertise in his field is so comprehensive that he is also qualified to conduct training sessions for a multitude of professional skill sets.
