Biography

Recently awarded the ‘Human Capital Award’ at Entrepreneur’s Achieving Women 2019 in Dubai, UAE and ‘Happiness Leader of the Year’ at the World HRD Congress 2019 in Mumbai, India, Carine Bouery is a certified Workplace Neuro-Happiness Practitioner and Employee Experience Strategist who helps organizations become more effective at creating fun, meaningful and innovative corporate cultures using brain science, design thinking, gamification, technology and happiness interventions to achieve accelerated employee productivity and improved bottom line performance.

Carine established her people engagement boutique consultancy Cynchro (aka Synchrocomms FZE) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in August 2015 out of a people game she created that increased engagement by 42% in one year, but her real drive to venture out on her own was through the strong need to help her fellow coworkers and other employees in MENA-based organizations have more positive experiences at work.

Being an employee for 13 years prior to her transition as an independent consultant, Carine noticed high levels of unhappiness, disengagement, absenteeism and even death in the workplace. A large number of organizations still don’t understand the significant impact that culture and wellbeing has on business performance and innovation, neither does the majority of leaders and employees know how to effectively access their own interpersonal skills and strengths to help them become more motivated, cooperative and resilient amidst challenging times.

Through Cynchro, we partner with businesses to improve corporate culture and innovation in four key areas: Employee Engagement, People Development, Corporate Communications and Workspace Design. We focus on instilling people and teams with fun learning and rewarding employee experiences using serious games, corporate role-play, design thinking and intra- and interpersonal skills workshops, in addition to installing digital solutions within creative office spaces for synchronized collaboration, improved communication and positive engagement.

Since 2002, Carine had held roles in Corporate Branding, Marketing and Communications with renowned organizations in their industries such as Majid Al Futtaim, British American Tobacco, Siemens and Weatherford where she single-handedly or with a small team managed companies’ brands and reputation around the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region using proven external and internal marketing and communication strategies.
