AbdulBasit Al Rawahi

AbdulBasit Al Rawahi joined Salam Air based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman as Head of Human Resources. He has over 25 years in airline industry with diverse management experience background in Human Resources, Corporate Strategy, Finance and Technical.

Prior to Salam Air, AbdulBasit worked as Head of Human Resources at Etihad Airways and Gulf Air, the national airlines of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain respectively. He has been instrumental in transforming Human Resources with the use of best practices and instilling a culture of continuous improvement in line with business growth strategy.

Mr. Al Rawahi has an MBA from Embry-Riddle University in Florida USA. He also holds several UK-based professional qualifications; he is a Charter Fellow at CIPD UK as well Chartered Fellow at Chartered Management Institute UK.

AbdulBasit has received several awards worldwide for his contribution to HR, including Human Resources Leadership Award by the World HRD Congress, International Who’s Who of Professionals, Asia HR Leadership Award and several Middle East and North Africa HR Excellence Awards.
