Prasanta Borkakoty

Shri Prasanta Borkakoty,Executive Director (HR & Administration), Oil India Limited,is overall in-charge of all the HR functions at OIL’s Field Headquarters in Assam.As ED(HR&A), he is also responsible for policy formulation and strategic decision making on diverse areas such as Industrial Relations, Legal & Medical. During his career at OIL, he has headed departments like Public Relations, Employee Relations and has led the HR team at OIL’s projects in Rajasthan & Andhra Pradesh.More recently, he directed all Administration work at OIL’s Corporate Office in Noida.

A social person, with exposure in working with diverse communities at the grassroots level, Mr Borkakoty is actively associated with various social organizations and public institutions honing his leadership and social influence skills.He has over 24 years of experience in diverse roles in business and HR.

He practices active learning & believes in developing learning strategies, which has helped in all the different roles he has done. A humble, people oriented leader, he loves developing and coaching teams and working on different challenges with a long term perspective.He relies on analytical thinking, emotional intelligence & ideation for resolution of complex problems.

His current special interest is on theengagement of millennials in workplace and to harness their creativity and originality.He has initiated efforts to increase the integration of millennials, as a culture-driven transformation, ensuring that they will take ownership of the organisation, going forward.
