Biography

Kate Barker is a highly-regarded Futurist with a passion for advancing the Future of Work. She is currently serving to advance Fortune 500 companies around the world giving clients confidence in their future on how to stay competitive & minimise risk through leading-edge Future of Work Strategies, Leadership for the 21st Century, human-centric Organizational Cultures and innovative Digital Workforce Transformations.

She has extensive global experience in partnering with Boards, C-Suite Executives, Prime Ministers & Sheikhs to bring to life the most relevant industry trends impacting the future of work, workforce and workplace. As a Futurist for $500b Futurist-City, NEOM in Saudi Arabia, to an Executive Advisor to His Highness (UAE) to leading global consulting teams for SAP & PWC in Asia, and Ernst & Young based in New York globally across 150 countries, Kate has garnered great respect.

Kate has been interviewed on the Future of Work frequently and, you may have heard her speak or read her published work on topics such as technology disruption, innovative talent strategies, women in leadership, inclusive cultures and workforce transformation at HR Summits & Executive Roundtable events across Asia, UK, UAE and Australia.

Her first book, What does it mean to be human? Humanity in the Digital Age, how global technology disruption, socio-economic issues and intensifying societal shifts are challenging our way of life, is due to be released late 2020.

In addition to holding a Masters in Psychology from the University of Sydney, and an MBA she was invited to attend Harvard's Women in Leadership Program and recently commenced her PhD in Women in the Future of Work.
