Biography

Dr. Rathinavel Rajan boasts an impressive 24-year career in Human Resource Management and Employee Relations across esteemed organizations. Currently serving as the Regional HR Head for the Asia and Mediterranean region at Ball Corporation, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role.

Dr.Rajan holds a Master's in Labour Management from the Tamilnadu Institute of Labour Studies, a Bachelor of Law from Karnataka State Law University, and has pursued further education at XLRI and SRM Institute of Science & Technology, culminating in a doctorate(PhD) in Management studies.

Actively engaged in the HR community, Rajan serves as the President of the HR Professional Association - CHROMA and chairs the HR Expert Committee at The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI). Beyond his professional commitments, he dedicates significant time to supporting educational, environmental, and equal opportunity causes as the Founder and Trustee of the Ooruni Foundation.

A prolific author, Rajan's journey began with the Tamil book "Urupadiyai Oru Nimidam" (Constructive One Minute), which resonated well with young readers and management professionals. The English translation, titled "Managing Turns in Life," has further expanded his reach.

Dr.Rajan's exceptional contributions have earned him the prestigious Global "Award of Excellence" at Ball Corporation in 2019 and a place on the "Wall of Fame" at the company's Denver, Colorado, US headquarters. Rajan is the first Indian employee to receive this honor at the 142-year-old organization. His accolades also include the "People and Culture Focus Award" for the Africa, Middle East, and Asia region in 2018.

Externally recognized, Rajan received the "Top 101 HR Minds in India" award at the World HRD Congress 2019 and the "Bliss Social Award - 2018" in the Social Services category from the All India Press & Media Council.
