Ruhie Pande

Ruhie is the Group Head of Human Resources at Sterlite Power, a leading private sector power transmission infrastructure developer and solutions provider. Sterlite Power is driven by the core purpose of empowering humanity by addressing the toughest challenges of energy delivery. With a dedicated emphasis on strategic talent management, and leadership development, Ruhie aims to mold Sterlite Power's growth trajectory, where individuals are not only at its core but also the propelling force behind its enduring achievements.

Prior to her role at Sterlite Power, Ruhie served as the head of the Human Resources segment at Godrej Capital, a financial services venture under the Godrej Group. Her journey with Godrej began at Godrej Properties (GPL), where she was the CHRO for 2.5 years before transitioning to Godrej Capital as its inaugural employee. Alongside the Managing Director, she played a pivotal role in identifying and onboarding the CXO or co-founder team. Her focus was on developing key elements of the people strategy to establish Godrej Housing Finance as a top-tier financial institution.

At Godrej Properties, she designed and executed an HR strategy to cultivate an engaged and proficient workforce, leading people transformation and organizational change initiatives. Ruhie is passionate about individual and organizational psychology and holds an MSc in Industrial and Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, London University. She is a Certified PCC coach and actively engages in coaching leaders, including external pro-bono assignments.

With a diverse career spanning over 20 years, Ruhie has held key HR roles across a range of sectors including financial services, real estate, fashion, information technology, and FMCG. She has managed HR functions during various growth phases, transitions, and transformations, with her most recent venture involving a startup within the sprawling conglomerate of Godrej.

Prior to joining Godrej, Ruhie contributed her expertise to numerous large organizations including Marico, Kaya, Reliance Brands, NIIT, and ITC, holding various leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and industry accolades for her significant contributions to HR, including recognition as one of the "100 Most Influential HR Leaders in India" by CHRO Asia, the "25 Most Talented HR Professionals in Retail" by Asia Retail Congress, and "Leading Woman in HR" at the 4th Women Leaders Awards in India, organized by IIGBI.

External Engagements
An accomplished leader and domain expert, Ruhie actively participates in several domestic and international HR and leadership forums. She is dedicated to mentoring young women leaders and has been a part of various women's forums.

Personal
Ruhie is deeply interested in research and aspires to conduct and publish research papers centered on Diversity and Inclusion. She enjoys writing articles for publications and social media. Ruhie is an animal lover and actively volunteers for animal welfare. She is married to Girish and has two sons, Samar and Krish.
