Suranga Cooray is a seasoned HR professional with over 18 years of experience in the field. He began his journey in 2005 as an executive at Aitken Spence PLC. Suranga holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management and Computer Studies from the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, a Master's Degree from the University of Wales, UK, and the Chartered Qualification in HR from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), SL. Additionally, he is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and is a certified auditor in HR and ISO Quality Management Systems.

Professional Experience
Suranga served 2 stints in the Group HR division of Aitken Spence, one of Sri Lanka's leading blue-chip conglomerates with over 13,000 employees. During his tenure, he played pivotal roles in both strategic and operational HR functions, gaining extensive exposure to 16 different industries in Sri Lanka and overseas. His expertise encompasses diverse sectors, showcasing a well-rounded understanding of the complexities within the corporate landscape. Suranga further expanded his HR proficiency with a four-year stint in the Banking Industry.

Suranga's capabilities extend beyond traditional HR roles. He actively engages in non-traditional HR projects, including productivity enhancements, work study projects, surveys, and audits.

Suranga is not only a practitioner but also a passionate trainer. Leveraging his extensive knowledge, he has delivered numerous soft skills programs both in Sri Lanka and overseas.
